Compress your photo with Squoosh

The quick route: open your photo in Squoosh, download from the right side, then upload the downloaded file to CaricAI.

Squoosh processes images on your device. The compression tool does not send your photo to its servers.

Four quick steps

Follow the screenshots below. Blue points to the photo picker; cyan marks the original side, and yellow points to the compressed download.

  1. 1

    Open your photo

Click the central Drop OR Paste area to choose a photo, or drag your file onto it.

    • Start with your own photo; you do not need to pick one of the sample images below.
The blue arrow points to the pink Drop OR Paste photo picker.
  2. 2

    Compare left and right

By default, the left side shows Original Image. The right side shows the compressed version. Drag the middle divider to compare details.

    • Cyan arrow: the left panel says Original Image and keeps the original file.
    • Yellow arrow: the right panel contains the compression settings and the smaller-file download.
Left · Original imageRight · Compressed image
The center divider compares the same image before and after compression.
  3. 3

    Check the smaller file

Try the right-side defaults first. Choose JPG (MozJPEG), PNG or WebP. If the size is still above the limit shown in CaricAI, lower Quality or use Resize while keeping the face clear.

    • MozJPEG saves a JPG. Start with the default Quality setting, then check the result.
    • Lower Quality reduces file size; Resize reduces image dimensions. Keep facial details clear.
Close-up of the right panel: format, Quality and Resize.
  4. 4

    Download from the right

On a desktop, click the download icon at the bottom right. The left-side download saves the original. Return to CaricAI and select the compressed file you just downloaded. On a narrow screen, find the download control for the compressed side.

    • In this example, 2.02 MB becomes about 108 kB. The actual size matters; 95% is the reduction percentage.
    • Click the blue circular download button beside the smaller file size, then upload the downloaded file to CaricAI.
Download close-up: the yellow arrow points to the compressed-file download button.

These screenshots show the desktop layout. On smaller screens, controls may move: look for the compressed result and its download button. The example reduction is not a promise for every photo.
